Le livre raconte en particulier la transplantation et l'expérience étonnante de ces jeunes étudiants de vingt ans, vers la France, l'Europe, les USA, le Canada et les pays arabes. La dernière partie du livre raconte et explique le chemin vers la double nationalité franco-libanaise et le développement extraordinaire de la diaspora du Pays des Cèdres. Un regard sociologique est posé sur les millions d'expatriés, trois ou quatre fois plus nombreux que la population actuelle du pays.
